What is the difference between Pavement Marking Tape and traditional marking tape?
Pavement Marking Tape, also known as pre formed reflective marking tape, adhesive marking tape, or highway tape, is a new type of reflective material that is assembled by modern factories with reflective units, substrates, and adhesives, stored and transported to the site, and laid on the road surface by adhesive bonding.
Traditional paint type markings (such as hot-melt markings, two-component markings, etc.) are solid or liquid forms of paint produced in factories, and after arriving at the construction site, the paint and reflective beads are simultaneously applied to the road surface through specialized equipment.
The biggest difference of pre formed marking tape is that the factory has completed the molding process, and only needs to paste it on site, without the need for professional equipment for secondary molding. The reflective beads are also pre bonded to the marking body in the most ideal way, solving the problem of unstable quality caused by traditional marking due to on-site conditions (weather, temperature, construction personnel skills).
